Nearly pushed to tears

Not to brag or anything but growing up in an English educated family (although speaking Cantonese half of the time) English to me had been something my family would call a ‘free A’ for examinations. Ever since I’ve been given my first ever ‘B+’ during one of my primary 6 English exams, I vowed that I would never ever get anything below A for English. After all, it’s only English. So if I can’t even score an A for English, I don’t even know what I’m worthy of anymore.

Today was really scary. I had my trials paper for English today and for one of the papers, I actually over-estimated myself a little. There were two sections on this paper and having spent most of of my time on section A, I swear my section B is complete shit. When I was done with section A, I only had half an hour left to write section B which for you information, consists more marks compared to section A. I panicked big time. After one full page of text and 15 minutes ticking by, I cancelled the whole page and re-wrote the essay cutting it much much shorter as I had far too many points in mind to the extend where I didn’t even know what to do anymore. It was when time’s up and I’m still writing a factor in my essay that I’ve truly felt like giving up and just hide and cry. Because honestly, I’m not a hardworking student, ask my friends and they’ll tell you how lazy I am. I literally deserve the procrastinator award! In the end because the teacher was right next to me and refused to collect others’ papers first that I had no choice but thank which ever god out there that gave me the perfect sentence to just end the whole essay in that very same paragraph. So really, English. Please, at least an A! T_T

At the time being, I’m gonna go start my last minute studies for my BM paper tomorrow and console myself that this is just trials and trials is NOTHING to me, it’s just every other exam because you’re not aiming for January intake hahaha /.\

ok bye! Nights!

Post School sports day & Yuk Chai canteen day

On August 9th, it was my school’s sports day. I’m never really the athletic type…well..at all so you can say I’ve pretty much skipped 3 years of sports day after attending the first when I was form 1. Senior year being senior year, I’ve decided to attend sports day to y’know…make some memories!

Well let’s just say because everyone I know are either very busily involved with sports day or just simply too lazy or busy to attend. And well I really wanted to go sports day la, and my brilliant plan was to reach at 11.45am. Who knew sports day ended so early this year. When I arrived at school, I already saw some people waiting to be picked up by their parents, but hey, that’s pretty normal, I mean, who stays for the whole thing if you’re not having a picnic with friends or involving yourself in sports day activities haha! Ok so after calling several friends to have my calls all ignored. I walked over to the house tents and found several friends busily packing up.

I saw Darren first and the first thing I asked him was, “eh, end already ah?” Hahahaha I’m the joke of the day. To arrive on sports day immediately after their prize giving ceremony!!!

Some of my friends had already left but I’m glad a few were still there for me to complete my mission.

Sports day selfie.

Yes, I know. I went to school for 30minutes just to snap selfies. I’m sorry mommy! Hahaha

Peggy also funny, when she was reaching, I actually texted her that the thing ended, and she was suppose to be attending for tug-of-war. Epic. But luckily her attendance for that event wasn’t required in the end.

Anyways, congrats to green house *cheers* Hijau boleh! I know I’m a horrible contributor to the house but ya. ^^;

Oh and blue house’s igloo is hella cool! * v *

Well later on that day my mom came to pick me and Peggy to Yuk chai for part of their canteen day set-up!

— x —

On the 10th I attended Yuk Chai’s canteen/carnival day. This time I helped out as a ‘part timer’…? haha the day started out very easy with me and my booth partners looking like zombies at 6 in the morning gathered to start doing the last minute set up and changes. When all’s up, I originally thought that we won’t have much people visiting our booth since our redemptions were kinda tough for them. I mean, even back when I was still in primary, all I do in canteen day is eat…eat…haunted house…eat and well this ‘artificial snow spray’, until today I still remember how crazy I was to spend RM80 on just those. And the fact that my sis didn’t even spend RM10 in her canteen day last year left me speechless.

Sidetrack sidetrack sidetracked.

Well simply said, business got jolly-good at late morning. I admit throughout the entire day, we made some small mistakes, probably disappointed those that spent hours on games then having pure bad luck on the wheel of fortune that the prize they won wasn’t as tempting as they’ve pictured. Seriously you don’t expect to win a car here right? Hahaha.

All in all, the experience was lovely, it was nice seeing how many parents actually came to support with their kids, the event was something like a ground for a perfect family day. Most parents were really sporting and would actually remind their kids to say thank you and such when we handed them their winning gifts. Plus all the kids are so cute, too bad that they’re too young lo :c I mean, there was this boy boy, he very cute ok. When I gave him the option of picking one bag out of three different types. He debated for so long, his dad asked him to choose the recycle bag but instead he chose this kinda OK design tote bag and said “this one can give mommy use” Wah. So good boy. He got good taste in bags, very good!

I know how most parents are really nice but well you can’t deny the fact that there’s always that 10% of parents that don’t really pay attention to what you’re talking / likes to bargain for other gifts / bargain for a free upgrade etc that makes us mess ourselves up right hahahaha. Those that beg are actually much easier to handle than those that literally scare the shit outta me ok.

Well I guess that’s all about my experience of managing a stall together with several friends and new acquaintances. I’m glad everyone’s helpful and slacked equally if not, I can’t imagine how we’ll be able to go through the day haha.

Well…adios! God bless the cute cute children that visited our booth on that day!!

Since you’re reading this blog where I share my interests and somewhat exciting (to myself) lifestyle, I believe we’d share similar interests and likes. As a fellow cosplay/ anime / manga (japanese comics) enthusiast, here are a few more guests that may interest you as much as it interests me to attend the event!

Aliga is well known for her kawaii cosplays and natural cuteness. She has been the VIP guest cosplayer and judge for many cosplay events across Asia.

There will always be a powerful moe moe aura surrounding Aliga whenever she’s in her cosplay costumes.

I’ve met Stay during her first two visits to Malaysia as guests for two cosplay events couple months back and as I’ve previously mentioned before, I’ve been a fan of her projects ever since I’ve indulged myself in anime. Stayxxxx squeezes in time to be a cosplayer amidst her fanatic schedule of Anime, Manga and Gaming. She appreciates cosplay with a sense of realness, and hand makes all her costumes. Cosplaying at her own pace, Stayxxxx hopes to live life to the fullest with her 5 cats.

Nao Shirahane sensei (AKA Dmyo) is an illustrator from Korea who is currently residing in Japan.

She is known for her drawing for the online game Trickster, and illustrations for the game DJMAX. Nao Shirahane is famous for her character designs and contributions to various works, namely –

- Nintendo 3DS game “Onna no ko no misshitsu ni itara maru maru shicau kamo shirenai” by D3PUBLISHER INC - PSP Game “Sucre” by GIGA - Mascot illustrator for Culture:Japan - Insert illustration in light novels and magazines also serialized manga published by Kadokawa and Koudansha

Nao is active in her Doujin Circle “Snow Ring” and “Sleepless child”, her project as an illustrator with Taiwanese cosplayer “Stayxxxx”.

Another cosplayer that I’ve looked up to for quite some time, Lenneth XVII is a self-paced cosplayer whose only drive is her passion for the characters she cosplays. She’s not picky about who she cosplays, but rather why she cosplays them. The learning process in cosplay is endless so despite being in the circle for close to 14years now, meeting new people and handling new projects always teaches her new things every time!
