Galactic Mermaid eyes

At first, I wanted to try on makeup to match my new wig & a liquid foundation sample I got from Benefit Cosmetics. But after placing out all the makeup, I thought, might as well blog something, so step by step time!

Exams had been so tiring recently, because I’m the type that studies like, well, TRIES to study 12 hours before the paper but ends up having an unhealthy habit of sleeping at 8 PM and waking up at 11PM, only to find myself snoozing my alarm for 6 times throughout the night all the way til 4AM in the morning. It’s only until then I have this “I’m going to be productive” rush feeling to kick the books. Ugh all the break outs thanks to such sleeping pattern so mask mask mask everyday woohoo.

aaaannnnndddddddd Actually, I have two more papers on Tuesday, seriously, I kinda just want to stay back after school today and get those papers done. Before that, just let me get all these photos and blogpost out to the net! Had been urging to type so much these days, I mean, I’ll regret when I see my marks, I know I will, so I stopped my roleplays, closed my blogshop and took a mini break from blogging. But here I am again haha, and once I’m done with this post, I’m going to continue typing the first chapter of a new full OC based fiction!

Okay let’s start the main point. This is a look focused on the eye makeup only. Too bad, when your room has bad lighting and after you’ve decided to add like 3817189 color filters, you’ll totally filter out the sparkly eyes. It’ll just look like some typical smoky eye on your smart phone’s front camera, ugh.

However let me tell you this trick, iphone 5 CAN capture your beautiful makeup even in horrendous yellow lighting. Seriously, reasons why my mom’s phone is filled with my selcas.

First, wash your face, then rub primer all over it. Next, apply eyeshadow primer to your eyelids if you plan to wear it all day. (I skipped this step)

 

As you can see, this is the naked face with acne all over the cheek and forehead /sobs

I’ll try getting more sleep during the holidays and be more rajin to wash my face with cleanser then apply toner after that. TRY. I’ll also try to fight against the laziness kicking in.

For starters, apply NYX Jumbo eye pencil in electric blue over your lids, this will act like an eye shadow base. At this point, I still had no idea what color / makeup look I wanted to go for.

Next, blend the edge of the liner with a clean blending brush.

I bought my palette from an online store so I’m not exactly sure what these two colors are called, but let’s just settle it as purple & indigo with a purple undertone? ._.

If you get something similar like the above then good. Sorry, because the photo turned out to dark, I had to play with the curves for this, hence the yellow-ness.

You’ll get something like this!

After that, above the black winged line, use a burgandy-black pencil liner and draw a line above it. I used Maybelline’s Unstoppable pencil Eye Liner in Velvet Black. (very very old release, can’t even find em in stores now T_T )

Later on, curl your lashes and apply mascara + falsies! I’ll probably end up recreating the look since I couldn’t seem to find ANYTHING that day after putting on all the eyeshadow, couldn’t find my lash glue (which had been missing for ages) and my mascara too. T_T

There you go the end product —of the eyes! I’ve once blogged a tutorial on blue shadows but it was deleted carelessly by me, sorry. Also if you’ve noticed, these were the same pair of lenses I used on my nude smoky eye look. hehe.

I wanted to add some colors to it and exaggerate the lids so this was the perfect one. Sparkly lilac colors represented the previously hit galaxy trend and the little pop of turquoise represents the mermaid’s tail.

you’ll notice the electric blue liner evidence that I did not manage to rub off properly when I attempted with having on my bottom lash line haha.

Next, onto the face. Since you’ve primed your face already, now, using concealer, hide all your acne and blemishes, I used a mac liquid foundation and a flat foundation brush to blend it. After that, I tried out Benefit Cosmetics’ Hello Flawless Oxygen wow liquid foundation in Ivory.

For this foundation, I wasn’t sure whether I liked the foundation or I liked the new translucent loose powder by Chanel that my mom bought the other day. Honestly speaking, I really love how both of these products combined! The finishing was amazing.

Ending volume of Reborn manga does /not/ apply to that reaction. The last chapter of KHR’s manga literally brought me to tears after sticking to the fandom for 6 years.

My phone is barely naked

Approximately two weeks ago, I was browsing through my instagram feed and I stumbled across this giveaway post. I’m personally someone that hardly ever participates in giveaways, usually I’m too lazy to put any effort or just plainly think that there would be 0% chances of me winning haha. The night I spotted the post was probably 2-3 days away from the closing date and I thought, ok, try la, lose jor then nevermind la, nothing to lose one ma.

Few days later I was notified to send an e-mail to Barely Naked since I was one of the 10(?) winners. /criestearsofjoy

Yesterday I came home and like for the past few days, I was getting mad over a specific courier company for not delivering my parcel. I think I’m going to post a rant sometime later. —-and the postman rung the doorbell to give me this, yay!

To be honest, I was really surprised at their working speed. I submitted my order/design at 11AM and they’ve managed to ship my skin out at 3PM on the very same day. Thumb sup for speed!

Before getting the phone skin I had once told myself that I would never ever get phone skins. I’ve never actually seen anyone using phone skins personally so I don’t exactly know how they work but I actually thought that they were just fancy screen protectors.

I tested the phone skin from Barely naked on a small part of my phone first before sticking the whole thing. Perhaps its just me but I tend to get paranoid over issues like, what if the skin won’t come off? What if I stuck my phone skin wrongly and after peeling it off it won’t stick again? Later got air bubble how?! Later stick already then when I peel the color stick onto my phone how?

yeah. Paranoid 101.

Anyways, so far so good.

It took me two attempts to stick the front skin since my hands were literally shaking especially when it comes to sticking the side haha.

Before sticking it I actually took some time to clean my phone screen properly and admire my phone’s naked body. After all It’s been a really long time since I’ve seen my phone naked. I hardly change my phone casing even though I own like 127414234 casings.

Alright if you’re worried if the skin would come in the wrong size and covered up your cameras, chill okie. That was the first thing I checked. Presenting to you ^ there, front & back camera. Sorry, my front camera quality looked horrible, I only turned on a table lamp to film and take the photos.

I’ve also uploaded a 1080p video on how I stuck the skin for anyone interested. And to answer some of your questions,

Japanese Udon Salad

I tell you, this tastes so good and its so simple that I think its easier than cooking the perfect bowl of instant noodles!

What you need are: Cherry tomatoes, Avocado slices, Iceberg lettuce, Romaine lettuce, Japanese Udon and the magic key, Sesame sauce with Roasted nuts (this is what I used, I’m not sure whether there are roasted nuts in the sesame dressing they use it Japan or not haha, if you’ve had this this in JP, tell me if they do or not ok? )

Okay, once you’ve got all your ingredients ready, just wash everything, cook the udon, arrange everything nicely onto your plate, pour your delicious sesame sauce all over, mix, then nomnomnom. Viola!

Hahaha, yeah, how hard did you expect this dish to be? But really, it’s like really yummy. Okay, in Japan, for this dish, the udon is served cold and it won’t be possible to place it into the fridge right after cooking, plus I was starving then, so here’s the brilliant idea I had, which I then opt to just soak the noodles in ice water instead of waiting for the ice to melt on top of the bowl of noodles.

 

 

Here’s the sauce we used, which my aunt got at Jusco/AEON? One Utama. If I’m not mistaken, this retails for 19.90MYR

And tadaaaaa~ Here’s the end product! > w <

Here’s something optional, in Japan, this dish can also be served with wasabi and shoyu! But with this sauce, it was already quite tasty so there wasn’t a need for wasabi and shoyu in my opinion, moreover, I’m not exactly a wasabi-person haha.

All Alone With You

Actually, I take that back, I’m not sorry, because this is a mushy mushy love story,

starring Candy or for some people, Yumi (me) and my lovely addition to my collection of CDs <3

Okay la, I’ll leave that modo-perasan (show-off mode) now. Anyways albeit late but, here’s the unboxing post of my copy of EGOIST’s latest single All Alone With You , again, thank you mommy <3 . I don’t know about you guys, but the whole reason I was so crazed over EGOIST wasn’t because of Guilty Crown, but instead, Psycho Pass. Yeah, I was really hooked to Euterpe for a period of time but I never had the thought of purchase a non-Jrock CD then haha.

I originally wanted Namae no Nai Kaibutsu ( 名前のない怪物 ) by EGOIST but sadly it went Out of Print on CD Japan and at that time I actually had to choose between Alice Nine’s Daybreak so obviously, I’d pick A9. I don’t think I’ll even call myself a NUMBER (alice nine. fan) if I miss the chance to actually own a single of theirs for EGOIST. But hey, I got the best of both worlds now, k? hahaha

To be honest, I did not expect to see any extra bonuses inside the CD, all I’ve expected were lyrics and well, two CDs haha. Anyways, guess who’s the bishie holding that dominator and behind the mysterious Weiss Schwarz card <3

Last but not least, CD (top) & DVD (bottom) As well as instructions on the left. You don’t even know how fragile I took this thing, I was super scared that it would break okay. D8 I don’t even know whether Sony CDs are getting more creative or is it just the artists. ; 3 ; Previously GazettE’s MELT DVD also super yeng one. T w T But MELT’s CDs were like a book, can flip, this one different Q A Q

CD Jacket (CD cover): 7/10 for creativity but if you’re the type that would listen to the CD often, well, I’m not sure but I think the edges would start to peel since its something like a cardboard material. For my case, I’ve literally played the CD once and stored it back to the box and I’ll probably never touch it again for a few years.

Favorite track: ElbadaernU. <- can’t even pronounce it properly, for this track, if you have a good pair of earphones/headphones/ set of speakers, if possible, with bass enhancer, this song’s a pretty good party track. Its fast with a lot of modern effects added to it to spice up the beat. For the lyrics, I did not understand it at all but personally, I’m someone that goes with the rhythm and not really the meaning of the song. I can easily name you 10 of my all-time fav japanese songs and not know what the lyrics to it mean. ._.

I know, one would expect me to prefer All Alone With You instead but I guess both songs has its pros and cons haha, its all about the mood and what everyone’s personal preferences is.

Did I regret getting this CD: Because it rewarded me with Kougami, no, plus for so many tracks, yes I would pay this price. ( but not I pay also :s ) Also, I’ve never watched the ending of PSYCHO-PASS or actually sit infront of YouTube to watch the PV for All Alone With You that was uploaded to EGOIST’s VEVO, so you could say I managed to watch it just recently while I played the DVD on my house’s TV. I personally would’ve preferred having Chelly and the entire EGOIST on the PV though, other than just pictures of Inori /.\
