Carrie

Honestly, I think it would’ve been a wiser choice to show you my ticket instead of the promo poster. Who knows later got 5 year old stumble across my blog then get nightmares?

The other day while waiting for my other friends to arrive, me and the bestie decided to watch Insidious 2, we had been waiting for weeeeeeeeeks! And still have not gotten the opportunity to watch it, really, blame finals and showtimes. -.- GSC no luck, we went to TGV and no luck, just when we were about to leave we stumbled across Carrie’s promo poster and it felt somewhat familiar to me. I’m sure I’ve stumbled across the trailer on youtube some time ago and said I wanted to watch it, then I concluded that the show was probably not available in Malaysia. hahahaha. Well we gave each other “the look” yeah, the ‘am I thinking what you’re thinking’ look haha and literally went to check the earliest screening. Perfect, miss 20 minutes also never mind we told ourselves.

Fast fast we go buy tickets la, I have to admit, I guess watching a movie could make you temporarily forget about your hunger (I had been complaining hungry before we even stepped foot into TGV). Since we didn’t want to miss out more we skipped popcorn and ran for the hall only to come into a pitch black hall with lighted white faces seated scattered over the hall. (humans playing with their smartphone in the dark, scary hor?) . We got to our seats and waited….then waited..I half-expected some ghost to come flying out when I was walking to my seat then ok, maybe we went into the wrong hall, went out and checked, correct ah. Later on I’ve concluded that the show hasn’t even started!

People must be very very lazy and has a lot of time to spare, otherwise, how could they possibly sit there for 35 minutes looking at their smartphones not bothering to get up and check with the staff working to see whats wrong. Like seriously! When me and my bestie reached the hall, we were already 20 minutes late, wait for 10 minutes also beh tahan already. When we found a staff, the person even went “huh? havent start?” o_o So nobody checked la.

Nevermind soon later the movie started.

Throughout the movie, I thought there would be scenes where its going to get super bloody and there’s going to be some sort of bad spirits involved, surprisingly no. Twice when I thought bad spirits were involved, turns out 1- the woman was giving birth ._. 2- the child didn’t know about periods. The story from my understanding should be a demon/devil-free movie, its more like Carrie having supernatural powers. Definitely not possession.

Overall, apart from the psycho-loss of mind control-parts(which involves ALOT of gore), the movie has pretty good moral values. Like, for the people that were nice to Carrie, they didn’t die. They might have been albeit injured but at least they lived.

So moral of the story, don’t bully people. Even a normal person under constant stress would break.

On the side note, I got selected as one of Comic fiesta’s official bloggers! ; w ; Can’t wait for the event and I think I need to go borrow perhaps my aunt’s battery pack and…maybe even her prime lens…and and…maybe I could just pinjam her camera body as well. Obviously impossible la since my aunt’s zoom lens is already with me.
