When the size is wrong or maybe the shoe in general just sucks, it hurts so so bad, then picture wearing em for hours, straining your poor feet in that beautiful pair of shoes. You’ll end up with your nails having blood clott underneath.
I’ve explained this story pretty much more or less 30 times already. Really really tiring to the extent where my mom suggested me a few solutions.
1. Type a blog post, publish, whenever people asks me what happened to my toes, guide them to the blog post. Win win what, I get to boost my seo haha.
2. Write the whole story on a board, wear it everywhere I go. Literally.
Because, asides from friends that will be asking you what happened, strangers and teachers too will be interested! It’s because this common case happens to the smallest toe for most people but for me, it just has to be the two huge first to be spotted toes.
So it wasn’t /that/ horrific to begin with. Started out with pain, and albeit swollen(the cuticles) but this happens after every CF, so I pretty much left it hanging there. Then people started pointing out that my toe nails look grey-ish black, ok quite scared dy. But blood clott quite normal right? That’s when my mom started scaring me that it’s like fungi and bacteria. Oh the horror when I googled and they showed me so many photos of ugly toe nails. What’s worse? There was a site that mentioned something about fungi’s favorite growth environment would be nails with blood clott. Q v Q *insert gun emoji* .
That was when I’ve started pestering my mom to bring to a doctor la. She didn’t though, instead we tried out those medipedi places first. The lady working there immediately pointed out that it’s fungi/bacteria. Yeah. I pictured something like someday, there’s gonna be a mushroom popping out from my toe. Sorry, pretty much the only thing I’ve noticed about the microorganisms chapter in science. So ok, we ended up buying this anti-fungal that costed us approx 100RM. If it cures the thing I’d say it’s worth it, but unfortunately, it didn’t. Quite the opposite in fact.
After applying for around two weeks, the cuticles of my largest toe on my right feet started drying and there, the nail was falling. So you see, at first the lady in the medipedi shop told me that my left feet’s toe was worse than my right feet, then she said that I have to tend it now if not it’ll spread to my other toes and fingernails then it’ll fall off. Very scary indeed. I’m quite a nail polish junkie for my fingernails over the holidays so I would literally cry if anything happens to my fingernails. Anyways because of that, I was so fed up, my mom too so she brought me to a hospital. Turns out it was only blood clott. No fungi no bacteria nothing. Great.
Was pretty mad at the medipedi shop but was too relief la after the hospital visit la. After like 10 days, my nail got even more loose so I’ve resolved to going back to the hospital to get it removed and tada, hello marshmallow toe.
And after removing the marshmallow illusion, my naked toe is very ugly. So please don’t bend down and examine. T_T but knowing my crazy group of friends, they’d have their fun hovering their shoes across my feet giving me sudden heart attacks.
Lesson learned, never buy shoes online, the size fitted perfectly but it just hurts after half an hour. The only thing I’m wondering is what shoes do I wear to cosplay in the future..? I have two upcoming plans! D:
