Shogun2U - Food delivery service review

28 August 2015

Are you lazy? Do you constantly crave for outside food? Do you /not/ have a license? yes, the struggles  then you must be someone like me that contributes to the food delivery industry from time to time. The other day I woke up to a text my mom sent telling me about Shogun2u.com. She told me that Shogun2u is currently running a 50% off Merdeka promotion on all their mains. In which after doing the maths, it seems quite worthy to give it a go. (I'm ordering for 3pax) Moreover, there was nothing to eat but maggi, so why not?

How To Order?
1. You start by heading over to their website http://www.shogun2u.com/
2. Select your 'City' then 'Area'. Click order.
3. Select the food you want. They have a variety of mains, side orders, beverages & desserts to choose from. They even have combo deals in their menu. A great deal for larger groups.
4. After selecting, click order and they'll prompt you to either register an acc or order as guest.
5. If you've selected order as guest, just fill in the delivery & payment details and you're done. I registered an account with them though (free delivery even if you don't hit RM50, so why not, I'll explain more below)

Rating on the scale of 10 tamago mentai:
Taste: 8
Price justifying the meal portion & taste: 9.5
Packaging: 10
Efficiency of delivery: 4
Customer service: 9

Food came in a plastic container as well as the utensils. I really like their sauce containers though, they're just so cute and basically its something new (or i'm outdated idk). Really appreciated them separating the teriyaki sauce from the chicken haha.

I ordered a Teriyaki Chicken bento (RM16.90 ori. price). Overall the food tasted pretty good. I'm picky with my food but considering the price we paid, it definitely justified it well. The salad dressing given was thousand island. Personally I was quite let down because I imagined the set to come with slaw (y'know the typical cabbage etc) but this combination of mixed veggies were fine as well I guess. (and cause I love thousand island) Not a fan of the pickles though. Chicken was good.

What I really like from Shogun2U would be their live chat feature in their website. Back then I was shy to the point where I can barely make a phone call to a stranger. So for shy people that can't even bring themselves to call up a delivery service to ask for inquiries or to follow up their order, this feature works brilliantly. Plus, it saves your phone bill and for instances if your phone is far from you, you're in front of your PC AND your butt is stuck on the chair.......yeah. you get the drill.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

My order was approximately an hour or two late. Not all that happy with that so I tried the chat feature which I got a reply within a minute or two. Basically this lovely lady (im sorry I forgot her name) helped me check my order and my order was delivered in about 20 mins time.

I'd say I'm pretty disappointed by their time punctuality. But the delivery rider & customer service was pretty friendly so ok la. (and I wasn't THAT hungry that day haha)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Now the more mathematical section. This will be able to properly show you guys how I was able to justify the price of this meal.

Shogun2U charges a delivery fee of RM4 if your order is below 50. Registered users get to enjoy free delivery as long as you hit their minimum order of RM25. :) In addition to that, you'll be able to use promo codes as well.

Currently their merdeka 50% off all mains promo code is still on til the 31st of August:
Just key in ' Merdeka50 ' at the check out page.

Another promo code ' ALL40 ' is also available for use til 16th September. This code works for everything in their menu!

So as I mentioned earlier. I ordered 3 Teriyaki Chicken originally for RM50.7, free delivery. After applying the Merdeka promo code my total bill was RM25.35. If you average out to 3, I was only paying RM8.45 /set. For japanese food & its a food delivery, this was definitely a steal! Don't miss the offer! At least take the opportunity of the promo to try something new. :)

ps. excuse the horrible quality, my butt was stuck on the couch and my camera was way too far.

Sem break- Trying out new and forgotten products

12 August 2015

It's been a while since I've blogged, very long while in fact. College was busy, as usual, assignments and presentations. Though I must say, courtesy of a friend from creative thinking class, I think I'm slowly overcoming my fear towards presentations. My closer friends in college will know how bad my fear towards presentations were. I still remember whenever a lecturer says xxxxxx assignment will have a presentation for it, I tend to go into my 'oh-god-why-no-i-hate-presentations-i-need-ice-cream' mode. Oh well, no matter how much I've overreact for presentations in the past, learning to overcome this certainly felt great.

don't get me wrong though, I still dislike presentations :')

but my presentation skills lecturer is win.

The other day, after spending a great day with my bby from skipping jogging and having fancy breakfast to testing out all the most expensive colognes and perfumes in Sephora then having a very very tummy filling meal of steamboat, I felt a little adventurous after I got home and picked out a few new and old products to play around. Products that are either totally brand new, or products that I haven't been using lately. (which is probably everything in my cupboard because all I use now is my brown liner, brow pencil, primer, loose powder, concealer and i'm good to go) In fact, it's been months since I've used eye shadow on myself.

When my mom was in the States for business travels, I took the opportunity to browse through the net, do a little research on some of the best drugstore products that aren't available in Malaysia. I have to say, I'm not a fan of Maybelline's Great Lash mascara though I'm definitely loving the colour of this NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. I'd like to describe it as the perfect barbie pink lip colour I've been hunting for so long now. :')

Ever since I've started college, I haven't played around with my makeup so much. I tend to just keep it simple. I even remember telling myself that I'll wake up earlier and go to college all glam and style everyday. Well, let's just say sleep > image & comfortable > image. So without having much thoughts, I've decided to play around with my BH Cosmetics Take me to Brazil palette.

What I have on here would be shades of orange in the crease, cyan on the lower lash line, white on the inner eye corner and purple on my lids. For the liner, I was using a black liquid liner I got from Daiso previously. For 5 bucks, I guess it justified its price very well. Definitely gotta repurchase my K-Palette one though.

For the contacts, I'm currently wearing Bausch + Lomb colour cosmetic lenses, Lacelle in Jubilee Violet. Here's a pic of the lens indoor lighting with no flash

Here's a shot with flash.
I'll post up full reviews on the products I've tried as well as the Lacelle lenses soon!

Now what I was really interested in trying was this Miracle Cleansing Water from Biore. I got this for free a couple months back in college and havent used it till today. Before trying it out for myself, I've already seen beauty bloggers and youtubers raving about how amazing this makeup remover is and I have to say, I am indeed impressed. I might actually stop using makeup wipes and switch to this instead as it's so much more effective in removing makeup. I didn't get to try it out when I was removing my usual makeup but just to see the results of this. I purposely had on foundation as well as mascara. Let's just say this makeup remover is damn good la ok.

now if only they gave like 5 of these in a pack hahaha :')

To sum up my post, let me welcome you my first ever bed plushie, Shy Shy. Tenks bby <3 love you :')
